My Profile Snapshot - Hope
Hi, my name is Hope. My goal has always been to help people move towards greatness in all aspects of their lives and to help them see beyond the mistakes they made in their past and grow to be better physically, emotionally, and mentally in their future. I've been counseling adults, children, families, and couples since 2016, and I have been helping people all of my life (that has always been my passion). I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia. I am currently working on the completion of my PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision. I am also a National Certified Counselor, a Clinical Certified Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Grief Informed Professional, a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, and I am currently in training to become certified in DBT, Trauma Focused-CBT, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Over the years I've provided care to a variety of individuals that share similarities in gender, race, and culture, yet differ in their mental health and developmental capacity. I've worked with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, mental health diagnoses, dual diagnoses, grief, low self-esteem, anger management, victims of domestic violence, and trauma related issues. Some of the individuals that I provided services to were non-verbal and others were verbal; however, they all had a need, and I was grateful to be in a position to help them in some way.
I have experience working as a First Responder Licensed Clinician at a 24/7 Mobile Crisis Team organization to help those in the community who are suicidal, homicidal, delusional, in psychosis, and a number of other mental health illnesses. I also have many years of experience working with our local Community Health Center, where I provided individual and family counseling to children and adolescents, along with their families. In addition to working with DFCS, where I complete needed assessments, parenting, and various counseling services to those in need. I am now excited for the opportunity to venture out into starting my own counseling service, and my desire is to take my learned experiences and leadership skills and implement them, so I can be helpful and effective within my counseling organization.
My goal is to be able to help everyone who is in need of help, as well as advocate for those that are unable to verbalize their need.
Things I do for fun includes playing Pac-man.
Things I enjoy includes writing poetry, writing music, and singing with my sisters.
Things that I love include my family, my friends, and helping others move towards a better future.
I am looking forward to sharing in this journey with you as we work together to envision hope for a better future!
